Runway has been relatively quiet lately…for good reason I guess.

They recently released their “Restyle” feature with Gen-3 vid-2-vid.

It’s going to change a lot of pipelines.

WHAT IT DOES:

• You input a video

• You add an image reference

• RW restyle’s your video

PROCESS:

1. Generate or curate a video.

2. Upload video to Runway Gen-3

3. Runway will extract the 1st frame.

4. Download the 1st frame.

5. Retexture 1st frame.

6. Upload retextured frame.

7. Generate.

Alright so I had no intention of doing this…

But I also didn’t think Claude could make 3D renders.

I was wrong. (I also have no idea what i’m doing with 3D)

In the right hands…this could be a very useful.

HERE’S THE RESULTS → CHECK IT OUT

PROCESS:

1. Build 3D Renders in Claude 3.7

2. Program camera movements

3. Screen record render

4. Upload video to Runway Gen-3

5. Extract 1st frame

6. Magnific Struct. Ref. 1st frame

7. Upload in Runway Restyle

8. Generate.

INITIAL CLAUDE PROMPT: ok here's a crazy one...can you make a 3d model replica of an epic castle. so we can do full 360-degree view camera motion of the entire thing.

(Just kept chatting and editing from there).

Ended up asking for camera control functions.

And screen recording a video.

RUNWAY: EXTRACT FIRST FRAME

Once you have a screen recording of the render….

Upload it into Gen-3 and extract the first frame.

MAGNIFIC:

If Magnific hasn’t made it into your workflows yet…this is the oppo.

Their “Structure Reference” feature is incredible.

It takes and existing image..and allows you to restyle or retexture.
