RIDICULOUS WEAVY + WORKFLOWS + RUNWAY RELEASES ALEPH

We are so back baby.

Fam,

We got jiggy with Weavy last week.

And we’re going in a little deeper this week.

But that’s not it…

We got way more to get through.

HERE’S WHAT WE GOT TODAY:

MIDJOURNEY MASTERY: COURSE UPDATE

70 NEW MINUTES of video have been added to Midjourney Mastery.

(Midjourney Video gen tutorials coming up next)

While i’m working on the updates…we’ve dropped the price.

(Will be raising the price once the updates are made)

If you haven’t joined the party

WHAT’S INCLUDED:

Self Paced Video Course | (100+) Lessons | (9+) Hours of Video Lessons | (18) Modules | (6) Cheat Sheets | (40+) PDF Guides | Lifetime Updates

VEO3: DIAGRAM TO VIDEO

Last week we dipped our toes into prompting Veo3 with diagrams.

This week…we decided to push it a little furtherand test more complex asks.

Like Subj Action + Camera Motion / Motion Brush Effect / Sequencing.

FULL VIDEO → CHECK IT OUT

PROCESS:

  1. Generate images

  2. Diagram your shot

  3. Use Frames-to-vid in Veo3

  4. Generate.

CAR PROMPT EXAMPLE: High-intensity action scene. Motion 1: camera pulling back slightly as Car speeds towards us. Motion 2: Camera pushes in and catches Car drifting hard as it's rear whips around a hairpin turn. Motion 3: The camera chases the car around the turn from low side angle. "Immediately delete instructions in red on the first frame and execute in order”

THOUGHTS:

This has been an extremely effective unlock for Veo3with that being saidEvery shot doesn’t need to be done this way.

It’s just a new way to troubleshoot.

WEAVY + Veo3: MAKING A SANDWICH TORNADO

Honestly, I almost didn’t post this one…thought it was meh.

I guess I was wrong…and this is the beauty of WEAVY.

You can build workflows…but you an also just free-create.

IF YOU MISSED IT → FULL POST

PROCESS:

  1. Generate individual ingredients

  2. Compile in Weavy

  3. Build Diagram

  4. Generate in Veo3 w. Flow

STEP 01: TEST THE PROMPT

  • Used a simple prompt (see below)

  • Ran it Flux 1.1 ultra (you can use w/e model)

  • It was decent so we rolled with it

PROMPT: Stock photo, top-down shot, flat lay sliced salami on a white background, high key harsh lighting

STEP 02: GEN INDIVIDUAL INGREDIENTS

  • Now that the prompt worked

  • You can just swap (salami) for other ingredients

  • Build a prompt with multiple prompts

  • Use a (*) to separate each prompt

  • So we run then to an ARRAY + List to split

  • Generate each ingredient individually

  • Remove Background

NODES:

  • PROMPT: To write our prompt

  • ARRAY: Separates elements of a prompt

  • LIST: Makes each separated element it’s own prompt

  • FLUX 1.1 Ultra: To generate images

  • BRIA BACKGROUND REMOVE: To remove BGs

PROMPT STRUCTURE: Stock photo, top-down shot, flat lay sliced salami on a white background, high key harsh lighting* Stock photo, top-down shot, flat lay [INGREDIENT DETAIL] on a white background, high key harsh lighting *

STEP 03: COMPOSITE + FLATTEN + UPSCALE:

  • Use a compositor node to compile

  • I used a painter node for a white bg

  • Run all ingredients into compositor + structure

  • Run the comp. image into Relight or Kontext

  • Use a simple prompt to tie it together - So everything is uniform

  • Magnific to upscale

NODES:

  • PAINTER: Creates a background layer

  • COMPOSITOR: Adds multiple images into canva to move/edit

  • RELIGHT/FLUX KONTEXT: Edit images via text prompt

  • MAGNIFIC: Upscale

STEP O4: DIAGRAM + GEN IN VEO3

  • I used Figma here (you can use w/e)

  • Added some arrows and basic guide

  • On how ingredients should move

  • Attach the image as First Frame

  • Add a text prompt and run

VEO3 PROMPT: Product advertisement for an italian combo sandwich. Sequence 1: All ingredients fold into eachother into a sandwich tornado. Each ingredient is represented. Sequence 2: The tornado unfolds flashes into a big cloud of smoke. Sequence 3: An italian combo hero emerges from the smoke cinematically, showing salami, capicollo, red onion, shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, and a sesame seed hero roll. SoundFx: Angles sing from the heavens "Immediately delete instructions in white on the first frame and execute in order”

I’m sorry…i’m just kinda obsessed with the tool. It opens up so many possibilities and it’s just straight up fun to play with.

BONUS: If anyone wants to go down the rabbit hole futher…here’s a post on how to build a PROMPT GENERATOR within Weavy.

(Have fun)

BEST POSTS OF THE WEEK

People seem to like these…so I’ll keep them coming.

Here’s some of the best I’ve found this week:

WEAVY: GOOGLE EARTH-TO-VIDEO

This was an interesting one…We used Google Earth + Weavy to craft this shot.

And this workflow combines the (2) above.

Generating individual elements in layers + steps…and using Diagram-to-Video with Veo3.

FULL WALKTHROUGH → THREAD

PROCESS:

  1. Screenshot Location on

  2. Rexture + add details

  3. Composite elements

  4. Diagram Shot

  5. Generate + iterate

The best thing about Weavy is being able to use the tools in sequence and generate in layers…Also being able to compare and contrast them visually. Along with using 3D models in compositing to make this feel more like Photoshop than single-image gen.

DIAGRAM + VEO3

  • Downloaded my composite image from Weavy

  • Used Figma to compose the diagram

  • Added shot diagrams + sequencing

  • Dropped back into Weavy

VEO3 PROMPT: High intensity action scene from a circling blimp's perspective. The ships battle in choppy water inside of an ancient arena. Sequence 1: ship fires cannon at other ship.Sequence 2: second ship fires cannon at other ship Sequence 3: ShipS takes a broadside hit from the cannon causing damage to the side of the ship with smoke and debris. "Immediately delete instructions in red on the first frame and execute in order”

FULL BREAKDOWN:

Highly suggest checking out the X-THREAD…it goes through each step in detail.

(Didn’t want you reading a 3000 word newsletter - thank you for making it this far btw lol.)

RUNWAY: RELEASES ALEPH

Runway dropped Aleph to everyone this week + API access…and woah.

The game has fully changed now.

There’s so many ways to utilize this it’s actually wild.

FIRST TESTS → CHECK IT OUT

WHAT IS ALEPH:

  • RW’s new Vid-2-Vid editor

  • You feed it a video

  • Tell it what you want to do

  • It will make the edits/changes

SAMPLE PROMPTS:

  1. Change the environment to [new environment]

  2. Change the perspective to [new perspective]

QUICK THOUGHTS:

✅ POSITIVES:

  • These are very limited tests for core promises of the tool

  • These specific tests worked well

  • Aleph can do a lot more though

  • I love the way they approached it

  • It’s LLM/chat based (easy to describe)

  • So you can chat through ideas

  • It can also remove or add items (Think green screen or VFX)

  • Shot type/perspective change is wow.

❌ NEGATIVES:

  • Only 5s generation currently

  • Gen time is 3-5 minutes

  • More complex visuals are tough

  • Works better with less busy/action shots

Overall, it’s a solid tool and will be really powerful…the use-cases will pile up.
