I’m back in hard…and I can’t get enough.

MIDJOURNEY: RELEASES MULTI-MOODBOARDS

Last week Midjourney released Moodboards. (It was a huge release)

This week…you can now blend multiple moodboards together. 

It’s absolute madness.

MOODBOARD PROCESS:

1. Go to “Personalize”

2. Select “Create Moodboard”

3. Add/Upload Images

4. Copy “MB Code”

5. Create text prompt + add code

6. Generate.

MULTIPLE MOODBOARD PROCESS:

1. Go to the prompt bar

2. Select the “Settings” menu

3. Navigate to the “Model” box

4. Select the “Personalize” drop down

5. Select 1 or more Moodboards

6. Write a text prompt + generate

QUICK THOUGHTS:

• Each MB has a unique visual signature

• The more cohesive aesthetics in the MB

• The stronger the aesthetic influence

• If you’re MB’s have broader image aesthetics

• You’ll have more variance in output

These are things you can’t text prompt for..and they can provide some really insane outputs. So play around and go wild.

MY ADVICE:

• Interchange MB’s and Personalization codes

• Try different parameter sets like (stylize/chaos)

• If you find a mix that works…turn that into an MB

• It’s a never ending rabbit hole.

• And there’s no right or wrong way to do this.

There’s been a lot of chatter that Midjourney doesn’t look “real”.

W/e..I don’t think any Ai outputs in a super realistic way…until now.

If you want more realism…try using random images from your iphone

REALISM MOODBOARD PROCESS:

1. Create a MB

2. Add 30-40 random iPhone photos from your phone

3. Copy code and generate

QUICK TIPS:

Moodboards are like SREFs – They take the aggregate of your uploads and create a unified style. So if you use raw iPhone photos, you’ll get a raw amateur-style. If you only upload images of yourself…Just know MJ will transfer some of “your look” and everyone will look the same. Be specific with your text prompting to diversify.

BONUS: PLAY WITH MULTI PROMPTING + SREFS

KREA: RELEASES REALTIME 3D GENS

Krea just released it’s realtime 3d generation model…and it’s cool.

Definitely something to keep an eye on…

Not specifically the tool…but the concept.

It’s a different way to generate images.

You build a visual concept….You control individual elements…You compose the entire image

OVERALL THOUGHTS:

• It’s a really cool feature for concepting

• Every movement is extremely sensitive

• The resolution is low (upscaling needed)

• Great for controlling composition minor details

• Graphic designers can have fun with this

• There’s definitely artifacts and morphing

• Post processing attn. to detail is needed

Video Model Development

• Planning to release 2 different models with partners

• Goal: Gauge Midjourney community interest between fast/cheap

• vVs slow/expensive options

• Will add new “Midjourney magic” on top of partner models

• Initial release will be experimental to understand user preferences

V7 Model Progress

• Training resumed after resolving data contamination issues

• Currently in 2-3 week final tuning phase

• Targeted release: Mid-February (tentative)
