Midjourney Can Do Text?

Fam,

We’re moving quickly toward the release of Midjourney V6.

Last week we were exposed to the Vary (Region) feature.

Now, you’ve probably seen the basic use cases.

BUT

How far can we push this?

Can we edit text?

YUP.

If you missed it:

Here is the link for How to Use “Vary (Region)”

Taking Action:

Let’s edit some text using the Vary Region feature.

Step 01: Create a prompt.

Prompt: modern nightclub sign at the club entrance, saying "LEVER" --ar 5:4 --s 400

Step 02: Vary (Region) + Add Text Prompt

  1. Select “Vary (Region)”

  2. Select the area we want to correct

  3. Add the prompt.

Prompt: nightclub sign at the club entrance, saying "E V E R"

Results:

Step 03: Repeat Process on other letters

  1. Select “Vary (Region)”

  2. Select the area we want to correct (If the area is “too small” select blank space)

  3. Add the prompt.

Now Midjourney can do text.

And so can YOU.

Actionable Tips:

  1. This takes a couple of tries to get used to.

  2. Smaller text is harder to edit.

  3. The larger the text is…the better.

  4. When in doubt…use an image prompt to help with the text.

  5. You can use a letter or a full sign/text sample.

Have fun.
