Midjourney is making an effort to move people to the website.

So naturally, we now need a CHEAT SHEET.

RUNWAY: NEW VIDEO-TO-VIDEO FEATURE

Runway just released their NEW vid-2-vid feature (and it’s cool).

You input a video as a reference…and generate around it.

This is similar to an Animated DiFF. (Very useful)

VIDEO-2-VIDEO:

The original Runway model was V2V…and it was just ok. (Now it’s much improved) This allows for a new level of creativity…and the use cases will pile up.

  • The video above…I tested “style transfer”Worked really well.

  • The video below…I tested “environment transfer”Also worked really well.

PROCESS:

  1. Open Runway Gen-3

  2. Select “Video-to-Video”

  3. Upload a video.

  4. Add a text prompt

  5. Generate + Iterate.

  • This will be fun for video editors (lots to play with)

  • Media buyers can have a field day (if they know what they’re doing)

RUNWAY: TRAINING CUSTOM MODELS

So Runway has a whole suite of features.

And I took it for a ride to create some video ads.

RUNWAY CUSTOM MODELS:

Runway’s custom models are just like LORA models.

But training models can be hard and confusing(so this is an easier option)

Will I use it a bunch?…no…(Is it useful?…yes)

(Just know it takes 1000 credits to train a model)

PROCESS:

  1. Open Runway

  2. Select “Try Custom Elements

  3. Select “Person, Object, or Style

  4. Upload 15-30 images

  5. Train the Model.

  6. Generate Images

  7. Animate with Runway Gen-3.

  • Having a tool that shows the AdSpend tells me what’s working.

  • And what brands with huge budgets are doing to win.

  • I can either repurpose some elements or follow good formats.

  • Not to mention using this data for Ai training purposes.
