Now, let’s get into it:

The /tune feature is getting bigger by the day.

You can generate absolutely insane visuals. (see below)

That you would not be able to prompt for.

The use cases will continue to pop up.

But ultimately, it will help you with scene + aesthetic consistency.

So, I decided to break down Story Boarding.

This can be used across various industries and projects.

Whether it’s creating ads, presentations, plot lines…etc…this tool can help

Let’s take a look  ↓

If you missed it:

Here’s the link to the full tutorial - Creating Storyboards with Midjourney’s Personalized Style.

Want to create your own?

Here’s the Process:

  1. Create the Storyline.

  2. Choose Core Elements + Create Base Prompt.

  3. Revise with Prompt Formula.

  4. Create Style.

  5. Build Storyboard.

Story Line:

Standard Structure:

  1. Introduction: Set the scene.

  2. Conflict: Introduce the conflict.

  3. Rising Action: Tension builds.

  4. Call To Action: Decision to act.

  5. Climax: Pivotal point of tension

  6. Resolution: Return to normalcy

My Story:

  1. Introduction: Mayan day-to-day life.

  2. Conflict: Rival tribe is introduced.

  3. Rising Action: Tribal debate + pray.

  4. Call To Action: Tribal leaders decided to act.

  5. Climax: War.

  6. Return: Aftermath.

Base Prompt:

Base Prompt Structure: asymmetrical composition, freeze motion, extreme tonal balance, [color scheme], [subject + action], [environment], 35mm, Bergger Pancro 400, cinematic lighting, [emotion] --ar 2:1 --style jo6aL9xt

Custom Style: --style jo6aL9xt

As I said, these images would be extremely tough to prompt normally.

So with your own custom style…

You can create some magic.

Now let’s have some fun…

Image Prompting is one of the most underutilized aspects of Midjourney.

Instead of trying to add all these elements to your prompt…

Generate (2) separate images in Midjourney.

Then blend them together with an Image Prompt.

Pro Tip: You can balance the image portion vs text portion of the prompt with the Image Weight parameter (—iw).

Here’s the process:
+ Generate Pattern/art in Midjourney
+ Create Image Prompt with Pattern/art

Image Prompt Process:
01. Create a pattern/art prompt
02. Run the prompt
03. Upscale an image you like
04. Right click on the image
05. Select “Copy Link”
06. Start new prompt
07. Paste link + add a text prompt.

Bonus Tip for the Experts:
+ Balance the image-to-text portion with image weight (--iw) parameter.

Here’s the structure I used.

Pattern Prompt Structure:
intricate ancient pattern, [culture], 2D, [colors] color scheme, contrasting colors, flat, high energy

Image Prompt Structure:
[Pattern Image Prompt] extreme closeup photography, [character], [environment], intricate [culture] art pattern face paint, [colors] color scheme, 100mm, shallow depth of field, asymmetric composition, national geographic photograph --ar 5:4 --s 300 --iw {.6, .7, .8}

Sample Pattern Prompt:
intricate ancient pattern, celtic art, 2D, green and white color scheme, contrasting colors, flat, high energy

Sample Image Prompt:
[image link], extreme closeup photography, Celtic warrior, in the scottish hills, intricate celtic art pattern face paint, green and white color scheme, 100mm, shallow depth of field, asymmetric composition, street photography --ar 5:4 --s 300 --iw .8

Now, if you want to get really wild…

(This is for the maniacs)

Combine Image Prompt + Image Weight + Custom Style for maximum creativity.

Check out this tweet below for the process:
