I have a hot take.

Midjourney’s default aesthetic is too polished. (Sometimes).

And it makes your images look fake.

Here’s a prompt formula to defeat that.

I’ve run this across multiple subjects and it’s worked exceptionally well.

Quick Tip: Don’t overcomplicate your subject or environment…keep it simple.

“Prompt Example: candid new york men, talking in a bodega, asymmetrical composition, 35mm, Bergger Pancro 400, street photography, film grain --ar {5:4, 10:4, 7:4} --s 225 --c 20 --weird 30”

Keywords:

• Candid: Makes the pose less robotic/structured

• Asymmetrical Composition: Alters the body position

• 35mm/Bergger Pancro 400: Provides the photo quality

• Street Photography: More Candid style of photography

• Film Grain: Provides and analog feel

• Chaos Parameter (--c 15): Adds image grid variability

• Weird (--weird 30): Reduces AI feel
