Fam,
The AI wars are heating up.
Now that quality has improved…it’s a race.
For subscribers and eyeballs.
Lots get to it.
Here’s what we got for today:
MIDJOURNEY: 5 BEST TOOLS TO STACK WITH MJ
RUNWAY: NEW “LAST FRAME FEATURE”

Let’s Boogie.
5 BEST TOOLS TO STACK WITH MIDJOURNEY:
We’re back at it on the podcast this week.
Talking about the 5 BEST TOOLS to stack with MJ…and how to use them.
If you missed it → Here’s the FULL VIDEO
5 BEST TOOLS:
Look, there’s a ton of options out there.
But these are what we use most consistently.
CHATGPT → Prompt Assistance/Creativity/Research
RUNWAY → Animation
KREA → Upscaling/Creative Fine Tuning
MAGNIFIC → Upscaling/Fine Detail Addition
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP → Generative Fill/Fine Tuning
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:
We go into these in detail…
EXAMPLES of how we’re using them.
TIPS for adding them into your workflows.
CREATIVE paths you probably haven’t thought of.
SNEAK PEAK - PROMPTING MJ FOR RUNWAY:
If you want to use image references in Runway…
Your outcome will most likely be based on your MJ prompt.
Let’s take a look ↓
SUBTLE PROMPTING TRICKS:
Cars in the video generators are a pain in the ass.
Sometimes they slide on the image…drive the wrong way…look totally weird.
The best thing you can do is “prompt MJ for Runway”…meaning…give runway a head start by prompting some of the problem areas away.
Here’s some tokens to try:
Spinning Wheels → This will help the wheels spin in RW (no sliding)
Bokeh Motion → This blurs to the background and adds direction
Blurred Background → This helps put the focus on the subject (car).
MIDJOURNEY PROMPT EXAMPLE: bokeh motion, land rover defender driving in vibrant cusco peru, spinning wheels, off-balanced composition, rough cracked textures contrasting against smooth, contrasting light and dark tones, color blocking, 35mm style --ar 3:2 --personalize [code] --stylize 200 --v 6.1
RUNWAY PROMPT EXAMPLE: panning left shot with bokeh motion of a Land Rover defender driving through Cusco Peru

We’ll be doing this weekly for the foreseeable future.
RUNWAY: NEW LAST FRAME FEATURE:
Gen-3’s only been out for a month…
And we’re getting new features left and right (love it).
If you missed it → Here’s the FULL BREAKDOWN
WHY IT’S GOOD:
By selecting “last frame” it will make your reference image the last frame of the generation (building everything before it).
It helps keep the crisp detail of your image…and eliminates some of the warping.
PROCESS:
Open RW Gen-3
Upload a reference image
Select “last” frame
Enter text prompt
Hit generate
RW TIPS:
Think in reverse
“How did the image end up here”
Use a high-res ref image
Keep prompts short/simple
Describe the motion
Focus on mimicking direction of image
Play with bokeh/background blur
SUPER DYNAMIC
ANIMATE YOUR PRODUCT SHOTS:
Anyone working in the DTC field…this could be useful.
Maybe I wouldn’t run these as ads…but they’re perfect for email gifs / social assets/ etc. (Small format/short shelf life).
HOW TO DO IT:
Upload a product shot into Runway
Write a text prompt
Generate
Pretty simple.
RW EXAMPLE PROMPT: hyperfast fpv drone shot flying through symmetrical sliced lemons towards canned cocktails

SXSW: WE NEED YOUR HELP!
A year ago this felt like a pipe dream…It still does…but
Phillip Maggs and I have been nominated to speak at SXSW
And we humbly need your help → VOTE FOR US HERE
THE TOPIC:
“AI Isn’t Killing Human Creativity and Why It Never Will”
It’s polarizing
It’s relevant
It’s a conversation worth having
Phil and I have been working for the last (16) months to operationalize Ai for a team of 500+ creatives. (It’s gone very well)
Opportunities come and go, but this one is a real honor…and something I never expected.
So if you’re feeling generous…drop us a vote PLEASE.
BEYOND MJ: IS FLUX REALLY THE MIDJOURNEY KILLER?
Short answer → NO.
But it is intriguing…depending on what you’re looking for.
This VIDEO does a good job of breaking it down ↓
WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT:
FLUX AI was founded by the original creators of Stable Diffusion.
(So they have some skills)
Open Source: Freely available for users to run locally
API Access: Offers an API (Midjourney doesn’t)
Solid Quality: It often outperforms in photorealism and detail
Different Focus: Utilitarian vs creative
MY THOUGHTS:
The tests I ran were “ok”
Gen time is very fast
The images are very “stock photography” (not dynamic)
It does have good coherence / but lacks creativity (not close to MJ)
Every person is very attractive / no diversity
Feels like MJ Version v5-v5.1 quality
API option is really nice touch though

MIDJOURNEY OFFICE HOURS (5/29):
Planned Feature Improvements
Inpainting Interface: Upcoming updates.
New Tools: Enhanced describe/style exploration tools on the website.
Room Syncing: Integration between Discord and the web platform.
Onboarding Enhancements: Improved onboarding for new users.
Alpha Site: Reduce minimum generations from 100 to 10.
6.2 Release Potential Plans
Updated inpainting and zoom-out features.
Enhanced coherency, text, and balanced default aesthetics.
Possible new personalization system for multiple profiles.
Depth ControlNet integration.
Timeline: Potential release at the end of the month; (focus will shift to 7.0 afterward)
Have fun.
